2013 10^th Annual Texas Eggfest!

Wow! A Zillion thank you's to everyone who Cooked, Served, Set up, Taught, Checked In, Organized, Cleaned Up, Announced, Entertained, and last but not least, all the Tasters at the 2013 Texas Eggfest. The Eggheads and Eggs were out in force with over 100 cooks, 32 teams and 60 Big Green Eggs smokin' and grillin'. The food served by all was just outstanding! The tasters were out with over 500 folks through the gate. Texas Eggfest University was very well attended with lots of crowd participation and questions.

Congrats to Smokin Daddies for winning Crowd Favorite and the $600 Medium Big Green Egg and Congrats also to the 2^nd place Smokin Aces for winning the $100 HEB Gift Card. The raffle raised $1995!
We will be sending funds to both the victims of the West Texas and Boston Marathon tragedies.

Last, a special thanks go out to the folks at the Iguana Grill, Blue Bear (the band) and Nikki Martin from the Food Network. Like every year, we will take stock on what was great and try our very best to improve upon the Texas Eggfest for 2014…

It’s time for the Texas Eggfest at the Iguana Grill overlooking Lake Travis (2900 Ranch Road 620, Austin, TX 78734). The 2013 Festival is April 27^th from 10am-3pm. Cost is $30/person. Cooks are free. Kids 12 & under free.  First 3 kegs of beer are on us along with tea, water and sodas (No Alcohol can be brought to the festival). Music, fun for the kids and lots of creative food all cooked on the Big Green Egg! Five classes of the Texas Eggfest University will be in session! Join in the fun and learning! Door prizes, Cook’s prizes and much more!!
