Save the Date: 17th Annual BBQ Outfitters Texas Egg Fest

 

The Texas EGGfest is an annual event, now in its 16th year, celebrating the Big Green Egg and all of its wonders. 50 Eggs, 35 teams, 140 cooks, celebrity chefs, and over 1,000 folks ready to learn and enjoy an incredible day.

 

What to “Eggspect” at the 16th annual Texas Eggfest April 28, 2018 / 10am - 3pm

 

Nestled just outside Austin in the rolling hills of Driftwood, the TEXAS EGGFEST brings over 1,000 “Egg Heads” from across Texas for tasting, cooking demonstrations, craft beer, live music and family fun.

Celebrating it’s 16th year, the festival will be held at the historic Camp Ben McCulloch, showcasing the down home Texas culinary scene that includes well-known chefs and pitmasters, a Texas-style Big Green Egg Grand Tasting, a Texas Craft Beer Garden, Eggfest University cooking classes, as well as a “Makers + Mom & Pop” vendor marketplace.

TEXAS EGGFEST is happy to return to Camp Ben McCulloch for a third year, the venue is a century old Event & Camping Facility featuring majestic oaks and wide open spaces-- a stone’s throw from the World Famous Salt Lick BBQ Restaurant. Campers welcome!

 

Texas-Style Tasting

 

Bring your appetite and taste your way through an amazing array of culinary creations at our Big Green Egg Grand Tasting.  Witness 50 Big Green Eggs grilling, smoking and smoldering with over 140 cooks, a.k.a. EGG HEADS!  The feeding frenzy begins at 10am, arrive early and stay all day.  All food sampling is included with your festival admission.

 

Cooking Seminars

 

Whether you are the proud new owner of a Big Green Egg, or a self-proclaimed Egg Head, there’s something for everyone at the TEXAS EGGFEST University.  Come ready to brush up on your basics and learn some new techniques as  our line up of tastemakers and pitmasters showcase their talents.

 

Texas Craft Beer

 

Craft brews are a big deal in Texas and TEXAS EGGFEST is no exception. We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure there are plenty of Texas craft brews to be enjoyed with EGGFEST’s tasty food. Sometimes life just calls for a cold beer and we’ll have them ready for you!

There’s no better way to round out your TEXAS EGGFEST experience than listening to the sounds of local favorites.  

 

Fun for the Kids

 

From toddlers to teenagers, we encourage you to bring your kids.  Kids will enjoy an array of activities--face painting, balloon artists, playground, swimming and wading in Onion Creek.
